About Us
The Salvation Army, an international
movement, is
an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church.
Its message is based on the Bible.
Its ministry is motivated by the love of God.
Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus
Christ
and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
The Salvation Army was raised to evangelise. It is an
integral part of the Christian Church, although distinctive in
government and practice.
In The Salvation Army the local church is called a corps and
every corps in every territory of the world will have a
programme of evangelism to reach out into community.
Development and Projects
The Salvation Army believes that the poverty experienced by
much of the world is unacceptable and that the role of
International Project and Development Services (IPDS) is to
facilitate The Salvation Army’s mission of meeting human needs
without discrimination and operating as a catalyst for
sustainable change through its network of community development
programmes in developing countries.
